About the Role
The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) is seeking a dedicated and professional individual to fill a permanent Cashier position at the Mokopane Biodiversity Conservation Centre. The ideal candidate will manage cash transactions, support access control, and ensure excellent customer service.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Grade 10 (NQF 2) with 5 years of relevant experience, OR
- Grade 12 (NQF 4) with 4 years of relevant experience
Experience
- Cash handling and processing (including electronic payments)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Additional Requirements
- A valid driver’s license with at least 1 year of driving experience
- Willingness to travel nationally
Key Responsibilities
- Manage access control and general housekeeping
- Handle bookings, public queries, and animal donation records
- Assist with HR-related tasks, stakeholder relations, and ad hoc duties
