Purpose:
To assist the RNC construction team during maintenance and construction work related to Overhead Track Equipment (OHTE), ensuring reliable and efficient completion of tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out all tasks as assigned by the supervisor/team leader.
- Be punctual and maintain sober habits.
- Handle, load, and offload materials.
- Clean sites by removing weeds, stacking materials, sweeping floors, and disposing of excess/rubble.
- Use hand tools (non-mechanized) in the construction environment.
- Care for and clean tools.
- Carry and erect 12m extension ladders.
Qualifications, Skills & Competencies:
- Minimum Grade 9 education.
- Minimum 6 months of relevant experience.
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may be considered.
- Knowledge of the construction working environment, relevant tools, equipment, and materials.
- Physically and medically fit for demanding tasks.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to distinguish between correct tools, equipment, and materials for specific tasks.
Working Conditions:
- Work is typically performed in an exterior environment, potentially within an operational area.
- It may be necessary to work during operational hours.
- Must be prepared to work overtime when required.
- Must be prepared to work in adverse weather conditions.

- Certified copy of school report.
