About the Programme

Coca-Cola invites young, unemployed South African citizens to apply for its 12-month Visual Merchandiser Learnership Programme. The programme provides a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience in sales, merchandising, and customer service.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Service customers professionally
  • Grow sales volume
  • Implement and monitor merchandising standards
  • Facilitate order-taking through digital platforms

Position Details

  • Role: Visual Merchandiser Learner
  • Reports To: Account Developer
  • Duration: 12 months
  • Credits: Minimum of 120 credits (NQF-aligned)

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute daily call schedules at assigned bronze and tin outlets
  • Implement visual merchandising standards, stock rotation, and brand displays
  • Ensure product availability, quality, and visibility
  • Complete iRED surveys and adhere to RED/execution scorecard standards
  • Educate customers on using the MyCCBA ordering platform
  • Support promotional activities to enhance brand visibility
  • Provide relief support as directed by the line manager

Interactions With

  • Sales Team Members: Daily collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Sales Account Developer: Training, performance feedback, and process understanding
  • Consumers: Gather insights on preferences and buying behavior

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Have Grade 12 (Matric) with:
    • Maths or Maths Literacy (minimum 40%)
    • English and a second language (minimum 40%)
  • Be a South African citizen
  • Be between 18 and 35 years old
  • Be available to work 6 days per week
  • Be an Employment Equity candidate
  • Have no criminal or adverse credit record
  • Consent to criminal, ID, and qualification verification checks
  • Not currently enrolled in another learnership or full-time studies
  • Not have completed the same qualification/learnership elsewhere
  • Be unemployed at the time of appointment
  • Have a driver’s license (advantageous and may be required)

Advantageous Qualifications

  • A post-matric qualification in Sales and Marketing
