What You’ll Do
As a Shop Assistant Cashier, you will be the welcoming face of Clicks, ensuring a positive and efficient customer shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering friendly and professional customer service
- Accurately processing transactions at the Point of Sale (POS)
- Promoting the Clicks ClubCard and signing up new members
- Informing customers about current promotions and special offers
- Ensuring cash handling accuracy and maintaining cash security
- Keeping the store clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Following merchandising and display guidelines
- Demonstrating and living the Clicks values
- Staying informed on products, promotions, and events
What You’ll Need
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Basic math and numeracy skills
- Basic computer literacy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer orientation
Desirable
- 50% pass in Mathematics and English (Grade 12)
- Previous experience in a retail/FMCG customer-facing role
- Understanding of:
- Retail principles
- Stock management procedures
- Merchandising and promotions
