About the Role:
Clicks is looking for a Shop Assistant / Cashier to join the team at its Kwantu Mall Alice store. In this role, you will be central to delivering a positive customer experience, ensuring efficient point-of-sale operations, promoting the Clicks ClubCard, and upholding high store standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service while acting as a brand ambassador for Clicks. - Point of Sale Operations:
Accurately process sales transactions including scanning items, handling payments, and redeeming ClubCard rewards. - Clicks ClubCard Promotion:
Actively promote and enroll new customers into the Clicks ClubCard loyalty programme. - Promotional Awareness:
Keep customers informed about current promotions and special offers. - Merchandising & Housekeeping:
Ensure the store is neat, well-stocked, and adheres to visual merchandising standards. - Product Knowledge:
Stay informed about product ranges, services, promotions, and events to assist customers effectively.
Qualifications & Skills:
Essential:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Basic math skills
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to customer satisfaction and performance
Desirable:
- Grade 12 Math and English: 50% or higher
- Retail or FMCG experience in a customer-facing role
- Knowledge of merchandising and promotion strategies
- Familiarity with stock control procedures
- Computer literacy
- Problem-solving ability
- Time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure
