This one-year initiative is aimed at residents of Johannesburg aged 18–45, providing work experience, skills, and an opportunity to contribute to the city’s growth.

Role: EPWP General Worker
General Workers play a vital role in maintaining Metrobus services and ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable transport for commuters.
Key Responsibilities
- Grounds Maintenance: Cleaning, landscaping, weeding, and litter removal at depots and outlets.
- Facility Upkeep: Assisting with minor repairs and maintenance of facilities.
- Cleaning & Sanitation: Sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing Metrobus premises.
- Material Handling: Loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment.
- General Support: Assisting various departments as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhering to all safety protocols.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Minimum Grade 10 or NCV Level 4.
- Age: 18–45 years.
- Residency: South African citizen residing in the City of Johannesburg Municipality (proof of address required).
- Unemployed: Only unemployed individuals will be considered.
- Work Ethic: Commitment, dedication, and willingness to learn.
