Dis-Chem Mall @ 55 is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Store Cleaner to maintain our high hygiene standards. If you’re hardworking, reliable, and take pride in your work—this could be your opportunity!
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness across all areas: shop floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office, and canteen.
- Follow daily cleaning routines and schedules.
- Keep restrooms and canteen clean and stocked.
- Clean spills promptly and safely.
- Use correct cleaning products and equipment.
- Place visible wet floor signs when mopping.
- Assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- At least 6 months’ cleaning experience.
- Good command of English.
- Basic customer service skills.
- Willingness to work retail hours.
Skills & Attributes
- Honest, trustworthy, and presentable.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to follow instructions and complete tasks.
- Good time management skills.
- Physically fit (walking, standing, lifting, bending, kneeling).
Bonus Points:
- Previous retail cleaning experience.
- Bilingual.
Special Conditions
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Clear credit and criminal record.
- Reliable transport and/or living close to the store.
