Transnet Freight Rail is seeking 20 General Workers to join the team in Loeriesfontein, Northern Cape. Successful candidates will support the RNC construction team with maintenance and construction duties under the CEW (Construction Engineering Works) unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle, load, and offload materials
- Identify and use the correct tools and materials
- Follow task sequences as instructed
- Perform trench excavation, service laying, and backfilling
- Follow all supervisor instructions
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 9 qualification (Recognition of Prior Learning accepted)
- At least 6 months of relevant experience
- Physically and medically fit
- Basic communication skills
- Familiarity with construction tools, materials, and equipment
Working Conditions
- Outdoor and operational work environment
- May involve working overtime or in adverse weather conditions
- Work may take place during operational periods
