General Worker vacancies, The Eastern Cape Department of Transport invites interested and suitable candidates to apply for General Worker positions within the Department. Requirements

  • ABET Level 2 or Grade 8.
  • No experience required; exposure to a similar environment will be an advantage.

Application form and documents

  • Applications must be submitted on a Z83 form; an unsigned Z83 will disqualify the application.
  • The Z83 in the e‑recruitment system is currently not usable; applicants who applied via the system must scan and upload a signed Z83.
  • Z83 can be obtained from any Public Service Department or online at:

The signed Z83 must be accompanied by:

  • A recently updated, comprehensive CV.
  • Copies of qualifications, identity document, driver’s license (where applicable), and any other relevant documents (copies need not be certified at application stage).

Additional conditions

  • Non‑RSA citizens or permanent residents must attach a copy of their permanent residence permit.
  • Foreign qualifications must be accompanied by a SAQA evaluation certificate.

Suitable candidates will be subjected to:
