DHL Global Forwarding Freight — South Africa is seeking a motivated General Worker to support the manufacturing of Vinliners. This role involves material handling and general ground activities, including movement, storage, and packaging of materials, all while adhering to corporate guidelines and policies. Help us connect people and improve lives!
Responsibilities:
- Comply with all safety measures.
- Meet daily and hourly targets.
- Maintain accurate documentation.
- Ensure smooth workflow by providing sufficient materials to the next process.
- Report machine breakdowns to the team leader immediately.
- Assist in other areas as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation (housekeeping).
- Adhere to company rules and regulations.
- Follow company policies.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure all firefighting equipment is in working order.
- Attend all fire safety training sessions.
- Prioritize personal and coworker safety in the event of a fire.
- Take preventative measures, protect property, and notify authorities in the event of a fire.
Requirements:
- Matric (High School Diploma)
- Vocational / Specialized / Technical / Certification (advantageous)
- Up to 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment
