  • Type: 6-Month Contract

  • Stipend: Monthly stipend provided
  • Number of Positions: 18

As a Digital Ambassador, you’ll help bridge the digital divide by training community members in basic digital literacy skills. You’ll be based at a local TVET college and work directly within your surrounding area.

Eastern Cape

  • Ikhala TVET College (x2): Queenstown (Komani), Sterkspruit, Lady Frere, Aliwal North, Ezibeleni
  • King Sabata Dalindyebo TVET College (x2): Mthatha, Libode, Mapuzi/Coffee Bay, Mngazi, Ngcobo, Elliotdale
  • Ingwe TVET College (x2): Mount Frere, Mount Fletcher, Maluti, Siteto (Bizana), Lusikisiki Ngcungqushe

KwaZulu-Natal

  • Umgungundlovu TVET College (x2): Pietermaritzburg, Msinga, Imbali, Sobuntu, Edendale, Hlanganani, Msunduzi, Muden, Northdale
  • Mthashana TVET College (x2): Vryheid, Kwa-Gqikiza, Nongoma, Ulundi, Nquthu, Kwangwanase

Western Cape

  • West Coast TVET College (x2): Citrusdal, Malmesbury, Vredenburg, Vredendal
  • South Cape College (x2): Beaufort West, Oudtshoorn, George, Mossel Bay, Riversdale Hessequa, Plettenberg Bay (Bitou)

Northern Cape

  • Northern Cape Urban TVET College (x2): Kimberley, Galeshewe
  • Northern Cape Rural TVET College (x2): Upington, Kathu, Kuruman, Namaqualand, De Aar

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete NEMISA’s digital literacy training modules
  • Deliver digital literacy training to community members
  • Collaborate with municipalities to secure training venues
  • Train learners on the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Meet weekly/monthly training targets
  • Submit weekly progress reports and training plans
  • Conduct training in communities, schools, and organizations

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Minimum: Matric or National Certificate in IT & Computer Science (NQF Level 2–4) from a TVET College
  • Preferred: N6 Certificate or Diploma in IT or related field

Experience

  • 1–2 years’ relevant work experience

  • Basic knowledge of computer packages
  • Strong communication (written & verbal)
