Road Worker Positions — Western Cape Government, Department of Infrastructure

The Western Cape Government, Department of Infrastructure, is seeking motivated and physically fit individuals for various Road Worker positions across the province.


General Requirements (All Positions)

  • Ability to read & write / Adult Basic Education & Training (ABET 2 / Grade 5)
  • Understanding of road building, maintenance, and repair
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Reliability and teamwork skills
  • Support road specialists in the maintenance and construction of roads and related infrastructure
  • Perform manual labour and civil construction activities
  • General duties may include maintenance of road surfaces, reserves, signs, markings, waterways, and structures
  • Operation of hand tools and minor construction machinery

Salary: R163 680 – R192 810 per annum (Level 03)
