Available Graduate Fields
Boxer is seeking five highly motivated graduates for the 2025 intake in these in-demand disciplines:
- Occupational Health & Safety (OHS)
Play a key role in maintaining safe working environments. Assist with compliance, risk identification, safety policies, and reporting processes to ensure Boxer’s continued safety for staff and customers. - Business Administration
Gain exposure to business operations, organizational processes, and strategic administration. Work on planning, workflow management, stakeholder communication, and more, building a foundation for future leadership roles. - Sustainability / Environmental Studies
Support initiatives around sustainability, energy efficiency, and waste reduction. Contribute to Boxer’s environmental responsibility efforts and build expertise in a fast-growing sector.
About the Programme
The Boxer Graduate Internship Programme is a full-time, one-year structured learning experience developed with the Wholesale and Retail SETA (W&R SETA). It bridges academic knowledge with practical, real-world business exposure.
During the program, interns will benefit from:
- Hands-on Experience: Work directly within your department to apply your university learning and develop workplace skills.
- Professional Development & Mentorship: Receive ongoing coaching and career guidance from experienced professionals.
- Exposure to Retail Operations: Gain insight into how one of South Africa’s fastest-growing retailers operates daily.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Business Administration, or Sustainability / Environmental Studies
- Have 0 to 2 years of work experience (aimed at recent graduates and early-career professionals)
- Be available to start on 1 December 2025 at the Boxer Head Office in Durban
- Possess a valid driver’s license (required for some vacancies)
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, eagerness to learn, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities
Graduate interns will:
- Support daily departmental activities including operational tasks, administration, and coordination
- Assist with data analysis, reporting, and decision-making support
- Identify and contribute to process improvement initiatives
- Apply industry knowledge to business projects and problem-solving
- Engage in training workshops, learning sessions, and mentorship
- Participate in performance reviews to track progress and development
