Job Purpose
To support RNC Construction teams during maintenance and construction activities related to Overhead Track Equipment (OHTE) by performing general worker duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 9 qualification OR 6 months relevant experience
- Physically fit (medical exam required)
- Safety-conscious and alert
- Good English communication skills
- Ability to work in:
- Adverse weather conditions
- Confined spaces and at heights
- Noisy environments
- Willingness to:
- Work extended hours on short notice
- Relocate or work outside designated depot if required
- Preparedness to undergo medical and safety compliance
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all tasks as instructed by supervisor/team leader
- Maintain punctuality and sobriety
- Handle, load, and offload materials
- Clean sites (weed removal, stacking materials, sweeping, rubble disposal)
- Use non-mechanized hand tools in construction environments
- Care for and clean tools
- Carry and erect 12 m extension ladders
